Wednesday evening will be filled with trick-or-treaters going from door to door in search of Halloween treats.  As we learned last week, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup ranks as the most popular Halloween "fun size" candy and a surefire way to make sure your home avoids a Halloween prank.  However one town has been proactive in making sure no one hands out what may see as the world's worst candy. High Point, North Carolina announced that it was banning peanut butter kisses from the city. If you're not familiar with them, they're a weird taffy-like candy in a black or orange wax wrapper. On a recent candy.com survey of 40,000, it was ranked the 5th worst candy, ahead of tootsie rolls, smarties, licorice, good & plenty and Mary Janes.  The city's Facebook page included a post last week from the City of High Point Emperor of Acceptable Candy that peanut butter kisses were banned, stating that no one likes them and not to handle them out. Of course the city will not dispatch a police cruiser to a neighborhood handing out peanut butter kisses as it made the post as a joke but peanut butter kisses aren't the worst candy in the world, at least according to the survey. Necco wafers were the fourth-worst, followed by wax cola bottles, candy corn at #2.  As for the worst candy, the crown goes to circus peanuts.
