There is a lot of talk about shopping the day after Thanksgiving.  The now traditional Black Friday sales promise big savings but as we have discovered over the years, just because it is advertised as a Black Friday sales doesn't mean it is a deal. But still, there are some good deals on certain items that will shine this year on Black Friday, say shopping experts.  Video games and consoles make the list because the current PlayStation and Xbox platforms are aging and rumors swell about the next generation gaming systems, it is likely you will see substantial discounts on high-end gaming consoles like the PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X. Plus bundle deal from big box stores will sweeten the deal. Once again, smart home devices will have steep discounts. Amazon is already promoting its third-generation Echo Dot for $22 (regular price $49.99) and offering bundles of multiple devices at deep discounts too. Beyond stand mixers and popular tools such as the Instant Pot, kitchen devices can hit ridiculously low prices, even for well-known brands.  Some brands, like Dyson, rarely go on sale until Black Friday rolls around, so watch for them. Small appliances such as griddles, coffee makers and toasters are prime for Black Friday savings.  However many will require a mail-in rebate, so make sure to follow through. Finally TVs traditionally enjoy big discounts on Black Friday with $100 to $400 offered in savings. However be sure to check the model numbers, specs and brand as some doorbusters are lower-end models. The bottom line: When it comes to items you have to plug in, Black Friday is probably the best time to get a good deal.
