Alachua County marks its 71 confirmed case of COVID-19. County Commissioners says they have received an incredible outpouring of inquiries from folks wanting to know how they can help. To help connect people who need volunteers, the county has set up an online COVID-19 Community Resource Portal. The website business resources offers assistance in securing loans and grant for the hardest hit local businesses as well as requesting a review to deem what businesses can qualify for an essential waiver in the midst of the county's stay-at-home order.  It also links to Volunteer Florida, which connects organizations with people wiling to pitch in and help.  Check it out here. According to the Florida Department of Health as of Sunday (3/29/20), 71 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Alachua County, 21 in Marion County, 16 in Citrus County and 2 in Levy County.
