Beware Of Cheap Phone Charging Cables

Finding a bargain is fantastic but as you know, not all bargains are good.  When it comes to those cheap phone charging cables you see in a bin by the cash register of a store or online may seem like a good deal but be careful as most knock-offs can actually damage your device.  It’s relatively easy to avoid fake cables by sticking to lightning cables that are MFi (or Made For iPhone/iPad/iPod) certified. This means the manufacturer has kept to Apple's guidelines in working with your device.  For Android, it's a bit trickier, so stick with name brands you can trust, such as Anker or Belkin.  At the very least, remember the advice your mom or dad told you, if the deal looks too good to be true, it probably is.
