Memorial Day weekend is almost here and although you are planning to enjoy an obligation-free weekend, your better half may have made some plans to join a backyard BBQ.  Generally speaking, the last minute backyard BBQ default item to bring is booze. But it doesn't have to be, especially if the home you visit aren't too keen on alcohol. So here are some items you can quickly grab as you are on the way to the BBQ that aren't alcohol.  Cookies are loved by all and easily obtainable at the store. But f you have 20-30 minutes notice, you can whip up a batch of your own chocolate chips that will still be warm when you arrive. Usually BBQ's have plenty of hamburgers, hotdogs, potato salad and chips. So make some variety waves by bringing pizza rolls or bagel bites.  You could consider them the appetizers of the party and surely will be loved by all. Or go the other route with root beer flat fixings.  All you need is vanilla ice cream and root beer.  I's so easy and when was the last time you had a root beer flat? A move that will have guests remembering your gesture for years to come.
