There is a pretty cool new feature of Amazon's Echo that parents are especially going to love. It's called whisper mode and just like it sounds, it will tone down Alexa's voice to a whisper.  That's a handy feature when you finally get your child to sleep and want to dim the lights.  Rather than a loud Alexa confirming your instructions, it will simply whisper. To enable the feature, you can either say “Alexa, turn on Whisper Mode” or do it manually from the Alexa app (Settings > Alexa Account > Alexa Voice Responses > Whispered Responses).  Alexa will continue to speak in its normal volume level until you ask a question state a command in a whispered voice, to which the response will be in a whispered tone, which is great if you need the weather forecast when your spouse is still asleep.
